Former solicitor general Pilo Hilbay said it is only right for the public to speak against the reported irregularities in the Philippines’ hosting of the Southeast Asian Games.
For Hilbay, pointing out the problems in the SEA Games is not being direspectful to our own country.
“We should not allow public officials (and their troll armies) to hide behind ‘nationalism’ to justify their corruption and incompetence,” the abogado said.
“Iba ang pagmamahal sa bayan sa pagsopla sa mga kurakot,” he added.
