Philanthropist and Former Environment Secretary Gina Lopez urged environmental crusaders to keep their love for the country, This is according to a green advocate that she had worked with said on Tuesday in an interview with DZMM anchor Ted Failon.
The Green Thumb Coalition was organized by Lopez in 2015, had sent her a video message in which they sang “I Believe I Can Fly” one of her favorite songs.
“I can feel the heart and I can feel the light. Trust me on this, if you have love, you can make this country move forward. Do not ever lose that love,” Lopez was quoted as replying by Jaybee Garganera, national coordinator of Alyansa Tigil Mina.
“Palagay ko dala-dala namin lahat iyun, para dire-diretso lang tayo sa pagbabagong gusto n’ya,” he told to radio anchor Ted Failon of DZMM.
Ted Failon also shared a text message who Gina Lopez sent her from her sickbed, that says “When you fight for what is right, you give our people hope. It’s the best social service.”
On Monday, the Former Environment Secretary and chairperson of the ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. Gina Lopez passed away due to multiple organ failure at the age of 65.
